Marcel's Homepage (and part time test lab)!

Intro

Yup, this would be the technically deprived page of the infamous Marcel Ray. Why are you here, you may ask? Well, good question, because I certainly don't know =). Anyway, if you're just feeling a burst of curiosity about me, you've come to the right place. I should have more than you'd ever care to know about me within these pages.

Test lab?! That's right. Right now, for example, I'm testing out CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to learn how they work, and how to better use em. My main goal is to start having content for people of different resolutions, colors, browsers, etc. For the time being, Internet Explorer 4.0+ is the only thing that will view this page PROPERLY.

COMPLAINT!!!

Okay, I tried to hold it in as long as I could, but I have a confession to make: I REALLY HATE NETSCAPE AND THEIR STUPID BROWSER!!!

Now that I've said it, let me explain: I'm sick of the way the stupid thing responds (or doesn't) to my CSS, and different HTML tags. The alignments are off, the sizes are whacked, and quite frankly, I'm perturbed.

Sure, you could say "well, if you're a Netscape user, IE's support seems weird." No...not even. To me, it seems much more logical that a "xx-small" font property in CSS be LEGIBLE, rather than you need a magnifying glass to read it. What point is that?! Also, it would be VERY nice if Netscape had support for letter spacing, but NOPE, you're outta luck on that one.

How can people encourage me to learn CSS and to use it on all pages when the stupid browser that well over 50% of the people use doesn't even support it correctly?! I mean COME ON!

Sorry Netscape, but you're not getting a lot of praise from this bad boy. I don't care if Microsoft is a monopoly, or if they make bloatware, wah, wah, wah, the point is that this time around their software is BETTER. Work with them and create STANDARDS or die trying your own thing!
